I am a subtle and silent harbinger of Death. You wouldn’t suspect it, meeting me. A meek and academic little man in a standard issue lab coat, shuffling down the hospital corridors completely unnoticed. Hand delivering oncology lab reports that extinguish lives.
Creepy!
Never trust a guy in a lab coat
…………..sent shivers down my spine.
Good (intended result)!
This is why I don’t like hospitals. ;o)
Me too!
Wow, loved where you went with this. Nice!
Thanks! He’s not very lovable, though.
Really great micro – I love the technician as the harbinger of death. What a great perspective. Thanks for playing along with us!
I liked it too. But Rowan didn’t.
Thanks, pat on the shoulder makes me feel better.
It’s a great story, but it doesn’t quite answer the ultimate question. That happens sometimes. 🙂 I’m guilty of this too, and one of our editors pulled her own entry this week after realizing it didn’t answer. The microstory challenge is – IMO – the trickiest one we run.
I’m in the same boat, but still enjoying the ride.
